Terms of Service

1. What Smarttwara is

Smarttwara is a website for learning Rwanda's road rules and traffic signs in Kinyarwanda and for taking practice exams to prepare for the provisional driving licence exam (Provisoire).

2. Not an official service

Smarttwara is not part of the Rwanda National Police or any other government body, and it does not issue driving licences. Our exams are for practice: passing them does not mean you will pass the official exam.

We work to keep lessons and questions accurate and in line with current law. Where they differ, the law and the Police's official guidance apply. If you find a mistake, please tell us.

3. Your account

• You sign in with your Google account.
• An account is for one person. Do not share it.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you notice anything unusual, tell us promptly.
• If you are under 18, use Smarttwara with the agreement of a parent or guardian.

4. Free and paid plans

Part of Smarttwara is free: the first 2 lessons and Exam #1. The rest opens with a paid plan. Current plans:

• 1 day: 500 RWF
• 7 days: 2,000 RWF
• 14 days: 3,000 RWF
• 30 days: 5,000 RWF

• You pay with MTN MoMo or Airtel Money, through pawaPay.
• A plan starts when the payment is confirmed and ends at 23:59 Kigali time on its last day.
• Plans do not renew automatically. When one ends, you choose whether to pay again.
• Prices may change, but a change never affects a plan you have already paid for.

5. Refunds

If you paid but your plan did not open, or you were charged twice, contact us within 7 days. We will open your plan or refund you to the number you paid from.

A plan that has opened is not refundable, unless it did not work because of a fault on our side.

6. Fair use

Smarttwara is for your own learning. You may not:

• sell or share your account;
• copy, screenshot or distribute our lessons and questions, including posting them on other sites or in groups;
• use automated tools to collect content (scraping) or try to access what you are not allowed to;
• do anything that disrupts the site or other learners.

If these terms are broken, we may suspend the account without a refund.

7. Our content

The road rules and signs themselves are public. How we explain them (the lessons, questions, explanations, images and the design of Smarttwara) belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law.

8. Reviews you send

When you send us a review and agree to show it, you allow us to display it on the site with your name (and photo, if you agreed). We may choose not to publish a review, or remove one. You can ask us to remove yours at any time.

9. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove parts of Smarttwara. We work to keep the site running, but cannot promise it will never be briefly unavailable.

10. Limits of our liability

Smarttwara is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using the site, including failing an exam. In any case, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 3 months.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For significant changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can resolve it together. If that fails, it will be settled by the courts of Rwanda.
